Take in Kenya's big sky and dense game. Here you'll find Samburu Game Reserve, famous for its rare mammals that only survive north of the equator, such as the gerenuk, reticulated giraffe, beisa oryx and grevy’s zebra. Have lunch at a tree hotel and visit Kenya’s first rhino sanctuary at Lake Nakuru.

 

ITINERARY​

• DAY 1: You’ll be met on arrival at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi, briefed by our representative and drive north through the Kikuyu farmlands and coffee plantation to the Kenyan highlands. You’ll arrive at the Samburu Lodge in the Samburu Game Reserve in time for lunch. At 4 pm, enjoy an afternoon game drive within the park to introduce you to the game in the area. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

• DAY 2: A full day in the reserve with game drives at 6:30 am and 4 pm. All meals and overnight at the lodge.

• DAY 3: Depart after breakfast for the Aberdare country club at the base of the tree hotel, where you’ll have lunch. At 2:30 pm, transfer to The Ark, which has various decks and balconies for easy viewing and photography of wild game. Dinner and overnight of game viewing at the lodge.

• DAY 4: After breakfast, transfer back to the base hotel and drive toward the Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park for lunch. At 4 pm enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park that was Kenya’s first rhino sanctuary. You’ll also visit the shores of the lake famous for it’s birdlife, particularly it’s flamingos that form a pink hue across the lake. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

• DAY 5: Depart Nakuru after breakfast and drive through the floor of the Rift Valley to the Maasai Mara Game Reserve. Arrive at Keekork Lodge in time for lunch. At 4 pm, enjoy an afternoon game drive in the reserve. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

• DAY 6: Full day in the reserve with both morning and afternoon game drives. The Mara is the northern extension of the Serengeti. All meals and overnight at Keekorok Lodge.

• DAY 7: Lunch at the Carnivore restaurant, then transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International airport for your flight.

 

Program includes: Accomodations during your safari, itinerary activities, private 4-wheel-drive vehicle with a roof hatch, English-speaking tour guide/driver, all park entrance fees, all meals on the safari, camping equipment if applicable (tents, mattresses, sleeping bags, pillows, table and chairs), all game viewing activities.
