Start this expedition by passing through Namche Bazaar, a trading junction densely populated by Sherpas, as well as the Tengboche monastery. The most popular route is the East Face, and you will likely only need four camps to summit the mountain.
Camping at this high altitude requires careful planning. The site must be as safe as possible from avalanches, and the tents must be anchored firmly enough to withstand gale-force winds.
