ITINERARY

  • DAY 1: We’ll pick you up at your Reykjavik hotel between 9:30 and 10:00 and leave the city to see the Golden Circle, the place where the Icelandic people conducted there parliament from 930-1801 CE. You’ll be able to see Thingvellir National Park, the mighty Gullfoss waterfall, where we will have lunch, and the Geyser Strokkur at the Geysir area. Next we’ll travel to the South Coast of Iceland and walk behind the Seljalandsfoss Waterfall and visit the Thorvaldseyri Volcanic Museum where you can witness the 2010 volcanic eruption of Eyjafjallajökull. In the evening we will have an opportunity to see the Northern Lights. Overnight in Farm Hotel.

  • DAY 2: This morning we will see the Sólheimar landscape over breakfast before heading out around 9 am to continue south. We will drive a short distance to the sandy beach of Reynisfjara and see the basalt rock pillars in the sea. We will then stop in the little town of Vík were we can take a look at a wool factory and get some snacks for our drive through the barren landscape of Mount Katla the Fjarðarárgljúfur landscape before having lunch in the little village of Kirkjubæjarklaustur. After lunch, we head to Skaftafell National Park where we will see two glacier lagoons, Fjallsárlón and Jökulsárlón, the biggest glacier lagoon in the world. Overnight at Farm Hotel with Northern Lights viewing.

  • DAY 3: After breakfast we head to the snout of Sólheimajökull for a glacier hike. Following the hike, we will head back towards the Reykjanes Peninsula to the Blue Lagoon for a bath and lunch. After lunch we head to Reykjavík were you will be dropped off at your hotel.
