Depart from your hotel at 9 am for the Jozani forest. This natural reserve lies southeast of Zanzibar City and is the only remaining natural forest of Unguja. This must-see for animal lovers is a sanctuary for the red collobus monkey, small Zanzibar leopard, blue monkey, chameleon, mongoose, bush baby, tree hyrax, bush pig, civet and two antelope species only found on Zanzibar, the Zanzibar duiker and sunni.
