While you're waiting, why not book a tour
(all of your friends are doing it)

AVAILABILITY: Yearround
ACCOMMODATIONS: Hotel/Campsite
HIGHLIGHTS: Durbar Square, Stupa World Heritage Sites, Temples, Palaces, Village School Project
This is an open service program that allows you to aid in the community village school of Nuwakot, the old capital of Nepal. Interested individuals, groups, and schools can experience the rich culture of both urban and rural life in Nepal, even without prior experience.
The local villages of mixed tribal groups send their children to this school, which has insufficient teaching materials and facilities. We encourage you to set up your own program around the following enriching experiences: Classroom teaching, hygiene education, games, community involvement and renovation (painting and general maintenance and mending), and field work such as harvesting. You will have to prepare basic teaching materials for any classroom session or games.
