DAY 1 - Hanoi Arrival (Includes Dinner): You’ll be met upon arrival in Hanoi and transferred by private car to your hotel. Enjoy a welcome dinner at a traditional restaurant. Overnight in Hanoi.

DAY 2 - Hanoi – Sapa (Includes Breakfast & Lunch): After breakfast we’ll begin a city tour of Vietnam’s capital city. Hanoi is a unique city with French colonial architecture, peaceful lakes and oriental temples. The city tour includes Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum and his house on stilts, the One Pillar Pagoda, the Temple of Literature, the Quan Thanh Temple and the Tran Quoc Pagoda. After lunch we’ll continue our tour to the Museum of Ethnology, ending the afternoon with a visit to the Lake of the Restored Sword and a cyclo (a 3-wheeled pedicab) tour of the Old Quarter. In the evening we’ll take the night train to Lao Cai and stay overnight on the train with in an air-conditioned cabin.

DAY 3 - Lao Cai – Sapa (Includes Breakfast & Lunch): After breakfast we’ll head to Sapa. In the terraced hills and mountains of Sapa, you may see the hill tribes of the Hmong and Red Dao. Take a morning walking tour of Sapa to visit the busy market where Red Dao, Black Hmong and other ethnic minorities converge from the surrounding countryside to sell their embroidery, silver and handicrafts. In the afternoon, you will visit the Cat Cat hill tribe village and stay overnight in Sapa.

DAY 4 - Sapa - Lao Cai – Hanoi (Includes Breakfast & Lunch): We’ll spend the morning on a trek to the Red Dao village of Tha Phin after breakfast. In the afternoon, we’ll take another trek through the Sapa Valley to visit the Black Hmong minority of the Lao Chai Village and Giay minority of Ta Van then back to Lao Cai to catch the night train to Hanoi. Overnight on the train with solf sleeper in air-conditioned cabin.

DAY 5 - Hanoi - Halong Bay (Includes Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner): You’ll arrive in Hanoi. After breakfast we’ll leave Hanoi by road for Halong Bay with a stop en route at But Thap Pagoda in Thuan Thanh Province, known for its 4-story stone stupa and referred to as Vietnam’s first Buddhist center. The pagoda was built in the 13th-century and rebuilt in 1647 by the Buddhist monk Chuyet, and is a complex of 10 buildings that houses ancient statues and artifacts. Next we’ll journey through the rich farmlands of the Red River Delta and see rice fields, water buffalo and Vietnamese village life. Arrive in Halong Bay and board the Huong Hai or Bai Tho in traditional sailing junk. While cruising, you can try some samples of fresh seafood. Visit the recently discovered Surprise Grotto and the mouth of Bo Nau Cave. Alternatively, you can journey to the Dau Go Cave. Enjoy a swim in Halong Bay before watching the sun set over the bay while enjoying dinner. Overnight on boat.

DAY 6 - Halong Bay - Hanoi – Hue (Includes Breakfast & Lunch): After breakfast we’ll head back to Halong City. After another seafood lunch on board, you’ll arrive at the Halong City dock. We’ll transfer back to Hanoi to take a flight to Hue. Overnight in Hue.

DAY 7 - Hue City Tour (Includes Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner): After breakfast, our tour starts by taking a boat trip on the Perfume River and visiting Hue's best-known religious site, Thien Mu Pagoda, and the Mausoleum of former emperor Minh. In the afternoon we’ll visit the elaborate tombs of emperors Tu Duc and Khai Dinh and the Imperial Citadel where the Nguyen Dynasty ruled between 1802 and 1945. We’ll return to the hotel, free at leisure. Overnight in Hue.

DAY 8 - Hue- Hoi An (Includes Breakfast & Lunch): We’ll leave Hue for Hoi An after breakfast. Visit Hoi An Ancient Town, an exceptionally well-preserved example of a Southeast Asian trading port dating from the 15th to the 19th century. You can see the merging of indigenous and foreign influences through its architecture. The scenic route will pass through the fishing village of Lang Co and climb the Pass of Ocean Clouds (Hai Van Pass). In the afternoon, take a walking tour of the ancient town center to visit the former merchants’ house, the 400-year-old Japanese covered bridge and the colorful market. Overnight in Hoi An.

DAY 9 - Hoi An - My Son- Hoi An (Includes Breakfast & Lunch): After breakfast, you will spend a half at My Son Holy Land which is the spiritual capital of Champa Kingdom, with red brick towers and sanctuaries from the 7th to 13th century. My Son tour is design for those who want to learn about Vietnamese history, culture and architecture. Drive back to Hoi An for an afternoon of walking and shopping in this ancient city. Overnight in Hoi An.

DAY 10 - Hoi An – Danang - Nha Trang (Includes Breakfast & Lunch): After breakfast, you have free time until we transfer to Danang airport to fly to Nha Trang. You’ll be met and transferred to your hotel. Relax and overnight in Nha Trang.

DAY 11 - Nha Trang (Includes Breakfast & Lunch): In the morning, you’ll board for Nha Trang Bay to visit some of the nearby islands, where you’ll have the opportunity to swim. Take the rest of the day to relax. Overnight in Nha Trang.

DAY 12 - Nha Trang - Ho Chi Minh (Includes Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner): After breakfast, you’ll be transfered to Nha Trang Airport for a short flight to the dynamic Ho Chi Minh City, formerly known as Saigon. Upon arrival at Tan Son Nhat airport, you’ll be greeted by your private Vietnamese tour guide and driver and transfered to your hotel. Take a tour of Ho Chi Minh City’s pagodas, War Museum and the former Presidential Palace as well as the sights of colonial Ho Chi Minh City, including the Notre Dame Cathedral, Old Saigon Post Office, Dong Khoi Street (formerly Rue Catinat), Continental Hotel, Opera House and City Hall. Enjoy some ice cream at Fanny’s, a quaint little parlor with a French atmosphere before exploring the trendy boutiques on Ton That Thiep Street. Relax and overnight in Ho Chi Minh.

DAY 13 - Ho Chi Minh City – Cai Be – Vinh Long – Can Tho (Mekong Delta) (Includes Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner): After breakfast, we’ll leave Ho Chi Minh for Cai Be, deep in the Mekong Delta, and embark on a cruise on the Cai Be Princess junk boat. The tour begins with a visit of the colorful Cai Be floating market, followed by some local home vendors that produce rice paste, rice popcorn and coconut candy. We’ll proceed to islands of the Mekong River through a large network of meandering tributaries. Lunch will be served at a fruit orchard before we cruise to Vinh Long to observe the typical Mekong Delta rural life. Finally we’ll drive to Can Tho and transfer you to your hotel. Overnight in Can Tho.

DAY 14 - Can Tho - Ho Chi Minh (Includes Breakfast & Lunch): Today we’ll cruise to the Cai Rang floating market while enjoying a buffet breakfast on board the traditional Mekong-style Mystic Sampan. Then, back to dry land in Can Tho for a 2-hour bike tour around the countryside. We’ll leave Can Tho for Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

DAY 15 - Ho Chi Minh - Siem Reap, Cambodia (Includes Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner): After breakfast, your guide and driver will pick you up and transfer you to the Tan Son Nhat Airport for a flight to Siem Reap. You will be greeted by our friendly guide in Cambodia and transfered to your hotel. In the afternoon, we’ll tour the Prasat Ravan, Banteay Dei, Srah Srang, Ta Prohm, Takeo, Thommanon, Chau Say, Tevoda, to the Temple city of Angkor Wat, enjoying sunset at Pnom Bakheng. Overnight in Siem Reap.

DAY 16 - Siem Reap (Includes Breakfast & Lunch): We’ll rise early to view sunrise at Angkor Wat then we’ll return to your hotel for breakfast. After breakfast we’ll visit the South Gate of Angkor Thom, Bayon, Baphoun, Terrace of the Elephants and Terrace of the Leper King. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the Grand Circuit including Pre Rup, East Mebon, Ta Som, Neak Pean, Preah Khan, Baksei Chamkrong and South Gate of Angkor Thom. Overnight in Siem Reap.

DAY 17 - Siem Reap - Phnom Penh (Includes Breakfast, Lunch & Dinner): After breakfast, we’ll transfer to the boat pier for departure to Phnom Penh. In the afternoon, we’ll visit the National Museum of Khmer Arts, Silver Pagoda and Royal Palace, and the Wat Phnom. Overnight in Phnom Penh.

DAY 18 - Phnom Penh – Departure (Includes Breakfast): After breakfast, you’ll transferred to the airport for your final departure.
