ITINERARY

  • DAY 1 - Arrive in Ho Chi Minh City: Upon your arrival at Tan Son Nhat Airport, you will be picked up and transferred to your hotel by private car. Ho Chi Minh City (formerly Saigon) is a center of commerce, finance, culture and tourism in Vietnam. This bustling metropolis, a contradiction of its northern counterpart, is crowded with motorbikes and cars, and has numerous shopping areas and sidewalk cafés. If time permits, we’ll stroll around the downtown to explore the different local ways of life. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

  • DAY 2 - Cao Dai Temple - Cu Chi Tunnels (Includes Breakfast & Lunch): After breakfast at your hotel, we’ll travel to Tay Ninh to see the ornate temple of Cao Dai and attend the mid-day service when the followers fill the hall wearing colored robes, a symbol of the curious combination of the Confucianism, Taoism and Buddhism. Afterwards, we’ll continue to the Cu Chi Tunnels, an underground network constructed by Vietnamese fighters during the struggle for independence. The tunnels contained hospitals, schools and residences, and were used as a military base for the Viet Cong in the American war. Back to Ho Chi Minh City. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

  • DAY 3 -  Mekong Delta (Includes Breakfast & Lunch): After breakfast at the hotel, we’ll visit Cai Be floating market. On the way, we’ll stop for photos at Tan An town over the flat rice fields. Upon arriving in Cai Be, we’ll start the motorized boat to visit the Cai Be floating market, experience how people exchange goods, fruit and many other commodities on their vessels. Visitors then roam into the small villages to visit the orchards. After that, we’ll keep cruising to Vinh Long through small canals to enjoy the charm of the Upper Mekong Delta. We’ll also visit some family business who sell handmade products such as the coconut candy mill and the crispy rice popcorn vendor. We’ll arrive in Binh Hoa Phuoc village where we’ll have lunch of local cuisine served in the garden while you enjoy southern Vietnamese traditional folk music. Finally, we’ll take a stroll through the bonsai garden. We’ll turn back to Ho Chi Minh City in the late afternoon. Overnight in Ho Chi Minh City.

  • DAY 4 - Ho Chi Minh City Tour – Flight to Da Nang - Hoi An (Includes Breakfast & Lunch): After breakfast at your hotel, we’ll spend a half-day on a city tour of Ho Chi Minh. We’ll pass the now-demolished wartime American Embassy before, the Reunification Palace which was the former residence of the President of South Vietnam until end of April 1975 - and some French colonial structures including the Notre Dame Cathedral and the Old Saigon Post Office. After seeing the Jade Emperor Pagoda and the War Remnant Museum, we’ll continue to the bustling Ben Thanh Market. The next stop is Da Nang which is a short flight from Ho Chi Minh City. Upon arrival you’ll be greeted and driven to Hoi An, which was originally a Cham seaport but has been influenced by centuries of the myriad of traders from various cultures. We’ll check into your hotel for overnight in Hoi An.

  • DAY 5 - Hoi An - Hue (Includes Breakfast & Lunch): After breakfast at your hotel, we’ll take a walk to visit the famous Japanese Covered Bridges, the Pottery Museum, the 200-year-old Tamky House, the Chua Ong Pagoda and the vibrant market. We’ll also pass many low-tiled houses scattered along the small streets and assembly halls which reflect the town's multicultural past. Lunch at a local restaurant. Upon leaving Hoi An, we’ll drive North to Hue. Along the way, we’ll stop at the Marble Mountains and Da Nang City for a visit to the Cham Museum. We’ll then follow the road crossing over the scenic Hai Van Pass before arriving in Hue, Vietnam's last imperial capital. Check into hotel. Overnight in Hue.

  • DAY 6 - Hue - The Legend of Ancient City (Includes Breakfast & Lunch): Today our tour starts with a visit to the Thien Mu Pagoda, then the tombs of King Khai Dinh and King Tu Duc. We’ll return to Hue for lunch at a local restaurant, followed by a visit to the Imperial Citadel. Your tour ends at your hotel around 5:30 pm. Overnight in Hue.

  • DAY 7 - Hue – Flight to Hanoi City (Includes Breakfast & Lunch): You’ll have breakfast at your hotel before boarding a short flight to Hanoi, Vietnam's capital, and a stylish and gracious city that retains an unique old world charm and some of Asia‘s most striking colonial architecture. Upon your arrival at Noi Bai airport, you’ll be transported by private car to your hotel. Then, we’ll enjoy a short cyclo (a 3-wheeled pedicab) excursion through the bustling old quarter streets before enjoying the water puppet show at 4:00 pm. Overnight in Hanoi.

  • DAY 8 - Hanoi - Halong (Includes Breakfast & Lunch): You’ll be picked up at 8:30 am by shuttle bus for a drive to Halong Bay. On the way, we’ll stop for refreshment and photos. At 12:30 pm you’ll boarding your cruise and enjoy a welcome drink. From 1:00 to 2:30 lunch will be served while cruising through Halong Bay. You can explore the labyrinth of the bay and stop for a swim before visiting the Sung Sot Cave and kayaking to Luon Cave, Dau Nguoi Mountain and Titop Beach. The boat will dock at 6:30 pm and dinner served at 7:30 pm. Overnight on the Junk.

  • DAY 9 - Halong - Hanoi (Includes Breakfast & Lunch) Enjoy a buffet breakfast from 8 to 9:30 am while cruisting back to Halong Wharf. On the way, you’ll have the opportunity to visit Fire Island, Dinh Huong Island and a floating village. At 11:30 am you’ll arrive at the pier and at noon a shuttle bus will take you back to Hanoi. Overnight in Hanoi.

  • DAY 10 - Hanoi - Departure (Includes Breakfast): Breakfast at your hotel. Your day is free until it’s time to transfer to airport for flight back home.
